Ive been so moved as Ive looked into the life of Johnny Cash. Redemption is beautiful. After years of overdoses, attempted suicides, affairs, alcoholism, and heartache, Cash finds love. What i find so amazing is his non-religious love. Its real. He writes in his last album packet, "Sometimes in the morning, I'll say "good morning" to the Awesome Presence, but sometimes I forget to." I get this sense after learning more about him, that he has an amazing seat in heaven, and a really special place in Gods heart.

That's so funny how you mention Johnny Cash. I've had the urge all day to watch his movie. It amazed me how June never left him and how she helped him get through everything. I love his story. It's almost like their love grew so much stronger bc it had been through so much. That's kinda how it is, the more you go through, the stronger the love. It truly is an amazing concept, and completely worth the pain.
Oh, there was a word that came out of the worship at last Friday night's service. I felt like it was for you. I'll try to get it to ya soon.
So good Tyler, and Mel. I love how you both point out what struggle does to refine love. Mel's comment was great: "It's almost like their love grew so much stronger bc it had been through so much. That's kinda how it is, the more you go through, the stronger the love. It truly is an amazing concept, and completely worth the pain."
This makes me think of what suffering and hardship does to our relationship with God-- the more we go through and learn to cling to Him, the more our love grows! It makes me thankful for suffering and difficult times, because I feel those are the times of greatest intimacy with Him.
